1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using College Fit Navigator ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

College Fit Navigator is operated by Julie Hardison ("we," "our," or "us"). The Service is available at collegefitnavigator.com.

2. Description of Service

College Fit Navigator is a college search and planning tool that helps students and families find and compare colleges based on factors including academic programs, athletic programs, location, and cost. The Service allows users to:

  • Search and filter colleges by various criteria
  • Save schools to a personal workspace
  • Compare schools side by side
  • Track recruiting communications and tasks
  • Store notes and preferences related to their college search

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

By using the Service, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to agree to these Terms.

4. Accounts

Creating an Account

To use most features of College Fit Navigator, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when registering
  • Keep your account credentials secure
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the Profile page. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use College Fit Navigator only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute data from the Service without our written permission
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Upload or transmit any harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

6. Data Accuracy

College Fit Navigator provides information about colleges, athletic programs, academic programs, tuition, and other data sourced from publicly available sources including the U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard, NJCAA, NCAA, and NAIA databases.

We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this information. College information changes frequently. You should always verify important information — including tuition, program availability, athletic opportunities, and admission requirements — directly with the college before making any decisions.

7. Intellectual Property

Our Content

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by College Fit Navigator and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

Any notes, ratings, or other content you create within the Service remain yours. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.

8. Free and Paid Plans

Certain features may be offered as paid subscriptions or premium services in the future. Additional terms will be provided if and when paid plans become available.

College Fit Navigator provides informational and organizational tools only and does not provide educational, admissions, financial, legal, or career advice.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Any information provided is accurate, complete, or current
  • The Service is free of viruses or harmful components

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COLLEGE FIT NAVIGATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless College Fit Navigator and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time through the Profile page.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are significant, we will notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Kansas.
